A few weeks ago I felt like I was living a blogger’s fairytale. This barely ever happens to us bloggers, by the way. Our lives consist of late night writing and anxious glances towards the comment box more than fairytale moments. But, I did have a Cinderella moment when the lovely people at VSCO asked me to do a post about “a day in my life” the SAME WEEK that Babble asked me to begin blogging for them. Of course, my anxiety immediately rose and I thought, “but I’m totally NOT COOL ENOUGH for this! VSCO is for cool people (true) not ME (apparently, untrue).” Eventually, anxiety banished by the realization that the fear of STARTING was STOPPING me from just from beginning something BEAUTIFUL… I got around to shooting a day of us just being “us.” These are the types of memories I love. Not styled. Not thought through… just captured.
Here are some out-takes from a day of us, most of which I didn’t share in the VSCO post. I use VSCO Film to edit ALL of my digital work in Lightroom, and sometimes (gasp) even to make slight adjustments to my film work. I love you VSCO, thanks so much for having us on your site!
Who made that cappuccino? I’m about to loose all barista credibility.
VSCO is totally awesome and you are cool!!
Aww, @Imene… thanks for the cool vote :)
Totally impressed. Not surprized you were invited to this site as well as Babble.Congrats.Thanks also, for the wonderful pics for us, grandparents.
I’m taking the plunge and finally getting my first VSCO pack! I’ve always admired your photos, but somehow I’ve never even noticed that you were a VSCOer (that’s a thing now, right?) and actually found you on the VSCO blog while doing way, way too much research on whether I should get the 01 or 02 film pack first. I’d love your opinion!
I’m trying to decide too! I’m told the 01 pack is the best and most classic but I’m loving the colors in some of the others too. IS there a way to trail them??
Beautiful work!! Which VSCO film pack did you use for these?
